At 2244 hours, the Dunkirk Volunteers were alerted for the motor vehicle collision at Route 4 & Mount Harmony Road. Squad 5, Engine 51, Ambulance 58, the Fire Chief & Assistant Chief arrived on location of a two-vehicle accident, with one person trapped after the vehicle struck a building. The Squad crew (6 men) performed a complete sidewall removal, extricating the trapped person. Engine 51 assisted Ambulance 68 with packaging the patient before being diverted to the Landing Zone. The patient was flown to a local trauma center. The Dunkirk Volunteers cleared at 2320 hours.
