The Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. is the primary fire/rescue/EMS department for the towns of Dunkirk, Owings, and Lower Marlboro, Maryland.

On larger incidents, we assist the Anne Arundel County, Prince George's County, Huntingtown, North Beach, Prince Frederick, and Charles County fire departments.

Our community is extremely diverse, ranging from large farms to industrial areas and every building type in between.

We are always seeking ways to enhance our service to the community.  Several projects are currently in the works that require community support.

1.  Purchase and placing in-service our first ladder truck

2.  Enhanced Advanced Life Support Coverage (ALS) to Dunkirk/Owings

3.  Improved water rescue capabilities

4.  Building improvements (bunk space/living space, kitchen improvements, hall rental enhacements, general repairs)

5.  Replacing Engine 52 in 2020
