On Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 0235hrs, Truck 5 was alerted for the report of a house on fire in box 3-12. Chief 3A went on the scene of a 1 story single-family dwelling with fire showing, Shortly after Truck 5 was dispatched and responded along with Chief 5B. Truck 5 and the Chief arrived and begin assisting with fire ground operations including checking for extinguishing the remaining fire, checking for extension, securing utilities, and assisting with ventilation. Chief 5B was the interior operations supervisor and assisted Chief 3A with command. Dunkirk units remained on the scene for just under 3 hours before returning to Dunkirk.
