On Friday, July 21st at 0428hrs, Truck 5, Tanker 5, and Chief 5A were alerted for the mutual aid response to Anne Arundel box 42-11 for the reported structure fire. Units from Dunkirk responded immediately and while en route AAE421 arrived to find a 2 Story Cape cod style home with fire showing. Although Truck 5 was dispatched as the second Truck, they arrived and assumed First due responsibilities including laddering the structure, conducting interior searches, and opening up for the crews inside to assist with knocking any remaining fire. Tanker 5 assisted with water supply operations and Chief 5A assisted the Truck Company with interior operations. Units from Dunkirk operated for just under 2 hours before returning to service.
