Last night (02/11/23) just before 10 p.m. the Dunkirk Volunteers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Dalrymple Rd in Chesapeake Beach for the house on fire. Engine 5, Truck 5, Tanker 5, Chief 5, Chief 5A, and Chief 5B were quickly on the road.

Units from North Beach VFD arrived to find an apparent vacant house with fire throughout. Upon arrival Dunkirk units immediately went to work. The engine company secured a second water source for tanker shuttles. Truck Company 5 took position and assisted with extinguishment. The tanker shuttled multiple loads of water to supply the fireground. Dunkirk units operated on scene for multiple hours.
